European Ruby community

Ruby is built locally.

Ruby Europe is a non-profit network for the people who keep Ruby thriving across Europe. We connect the organisers, speakers and developers behind Europe's local Ruby communities — and we're looking for the next city.

your city? Every group keeps its own identity, priorities and pace. We help when it's useful and stay out of the way when it's not.

Five cities that meet, regularly

Every one of them is run by people doing it after work, for free. Turn up at any of them and you'll be welcome.

Three things, done properly

  • We connect the people behind the groups

We help talks, calls for papers and introductions travel between cities, so a talk given in Vienna can be given again in Kraków and nobody starts from nothing.

  • We cover what a meetup is missing

A room, pizza, a projector, a speaker's train ticket. Whatever is standing between an organiser and the next evening.

  • We take Ruby on tour
